"Hugs speak louder than words" 40x50cm. 2024

paper, gouache, pastel, pencils

Can you imagine what it's like when you hug someone, unsure if you'll ever do it again? Because war can snatch away the life of a loved one. They could end up in captivity. You don't know how they are, what's happening to them, how to go on living. These embraces are both desired and undesired because they tear the heart and shred the soul.

Many people now live with hope, memories, with great pain in their hearts, recalling those final hugs.

It's a great treasure—to feel your loved one beside you, to see their smile, to have the opportunity to embrace them. Every second matters, every second has meaning.
