“Freedom” 70x99cm. 2024
paper, gouache, pastel, charcoal, pencils
This is not just the image of a wounded body - it’s a visual manifestation of freedom, carved into flesh, pain, and movement. The central figure is a bare-chested fighter with a prosthetic leg, bursting out of darkness. His gesture is not a fall, but a surge forward - as if the body itself is pulling the soul through the void.
Across his chest, the word Воля - “freedom” in Ukrainian. Not a slogan, but a mark. On his leg, the trident. These symbols speak of freedom not as a gift, but as something claimed through loss, carved into being.
This is a painting about transformation. Not an end - a shift. A body turned monument to will.
